Update 10th February 2025

I would first like to apologize for not posting anything for so long. When I started this blog I made a rule that I wouldn't apologize for posting entries later than intended because I knew that this would invariably happen and I didn't want every entry to start with a tedious apology and excuses.

But this time it's been months and months and people have probably been wondering whether this blog was gone for good.

Update 26th October 2025 - Introducing Roxy the Ringtail

 Drak is growing up.

He shares a box with his mother Blossom, but no longer back-rides and recently has got up the courage to visit the house on his own.

Baby Possum Alert

Sprout has a baby (her first) who has just started emerging from the pouch.

Sprout has not used the possum boxes in a long time, but was in Box 1 today.

It is anyone's guess whether she will continue using this box.

Also, I am going to post an update very soon. I was working on it today when I saw Sprout's baby.

Update 27th July 2025 - Introducing Gandalf, Zeke and Rudy

The new dominant male in the area is Gandalf. Gandalf has an unusual grey coloured tip on his tail.

The baby ringtails who were shown riding on their mother's back in the November blog post have been seen around a few times and I thought I'd start this post with a few photos of them.

Sprout is mostly back-riding and keeps close to her mother Blossom, but occasionally will run off a short distance with food torn from Blossom's mouth.

Update 19th October 2024 - Introducing Sprout

Blossom's new baby (her 3^rd) has been named Sprout. I am not sure, but I think Sprout is female.
