Sasha's latest baby is back-riding and has been named Blake. Wink's baby has also just started back-riding and has been named Blossom. Here are photos of the two youngsters on their first visits to the house.

Blake is a smart and independent possum who often goes off on his own a little way from Sasha.

Blossom looks like she might be a female, but there's no reason why a male possum can't be called Blossom. Blossom is very cute. In the nest-box she leaps and flails around in a manner which makes me think that Walt might be her father.

Recently, Sasha and Wink had a serious fight. It seems as if Wink wants to take over from Sasha as dominant possum and we'll have to see how this works out. I am looking at putting up two more possum boxes to hopefully give Sasha (and other possums) more options to remain in the area.

Wink seems to be coping well with being a first-time mother but it must be difficult at times.

Despite there being three older and larger female possums in the area, Shane still visits regularly.

Pax also visits regularly and is cautious to keep out of trouble.

Walt still has a nervous manner. Marcel chases him off if he comes too near, but hasn't seriously attacked him yet.
