Update 10th May 2015

Kiki, Toto, Comet, Farley, Sasha, Wasabi and Tilda are all currently visiting. In addition, a mother ringtail (probably Ruby) and her baby have been seen close to the house several times, having apparently been encouraged to visit by Wasabi. Once Wasabi brought the baby to the house himself; he is a good father and willing to share parenting duties.

Sasha - 7th May 2015

There is still a possum in the ceiling, and I am not sure whether this is Sasha

The ceiling possum seems to have similar colouring to Sasha. Also, all of the other possums are accounted for, so if the ceiling possum isn't Sasha, it would have to be a new possum which has not yet been seen anywhere else. On the other hand, Sasha is a large possum and the entrance into the ceiling is very small, and it's difficult to imagine how she could squeeze in and out every night.

Toto (right) with Kiki (left) - 2nd May 2015

Toto is an independent little possum and quite happy to visit on her own, however she will also snatch food out of Kiki's mouth if the opportunity presents itself. Kiki still tolerates this behaviour - for the time being.

Toto - 8th May 2015

Toto is generally calm, but she can be fierce when the occasion demands it. On one occasion, when Toto and Sasha visited at the same time. Toto became annoyed at Sasha's presence and angrily chased her off, despite Sasha being more than twice her size.

Comet - 6th May 2015

Comet has been in the area nine months now, which is the longest of any of Kiki's male babies. He has grown into strong possum and should be well equipped to fend for himself when he has to leave.

Comet's tail injury healed successfully. His tail now seems to have a slight kink in it in the area of the injury. This doesn't cause him any problems and makes him easier to recognise on the box cameras.

Tilda(?) in a nest in a fiddlewood tree - 24th April 2015

Tilda now visits more frequently and is becoming more assertive. She sometimes snatches at food and will occasionally come into the house like Wasabi.

Tilda - 6th May 2015

Finally, since it's been so long since the last update, I thought I'd post a few extra photos:

  1. Wonderful photos.

I know I've said this before, but you are so lucky having both ringtails and brushtails :)
